The Harford Area Weekly Kriegsspielers, or HAWKS, for short, is a gaming group that mostly, but not exclusively, plays historical miniatures games. We also play role playing games (e.g., Dungeons and Dragons), board games, and card games. We play mostly multi-player games with three to four players on a side.

The term Kriegsspiel is German for "war game" and is a military training exercise that simulates combat to test and train officers in command, decision-making, and strategy. 

The HAWKS group meets to game on the first and third Friday evenings at Grove Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen, Maryland. All are welcome to join!

We generally have two games scheduled for each HAWKS night.  It can range from ancient warfare and WWII to Victorian science fiction and stompy robots.
